Library Announcements

The Library’s Summer Reading Program for kids ages 2 - 14 is now underway!  Continuing through August 29th, kids can come to the Library and sign up for a summer reading packet. These can be obtained by either coming inside the Library building OR signing up in the Library’s entryway and taking a packet from there. Details of how the program works will be inside the packets. When kids are ready to collect reading rewards/prizes, they can either come in to the Library with their reading logs, or you can e-mail us at or Facebook message us with your reading times and we will arrange pickup of your rewards and prizes.  ALSO: we are offering Take - and - Make craft packets each week throughout the summer! You can pick those up by either coming into the Library or else taking them from our Contactless Pickup table in the Library’s entryway. FMI: Contact the Library at or via Facebook Messenger.  HAPPY READING!

*Due to the Pandemic, the Library is unable to accept book donations at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank everyone for their cooperation in this!*

The Library is now offering Limited Access Re-Opening of our Library building for its’ weekly hours of Mondays: 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.; Tuesdays: 4 - 7 p.m.; and Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. The following Limited Access Re-Opening policies will be in place and observed:

1) There will be a maximum of 4 patrons allowed in the Library at any one time.

2) Patrons may spend a maximum of 30 minutes in the Library per visit.

3) Patrons and Staff will be required to wear a mask or face covering, which covers both nose and mouth. (Library staff willalso wear gloves while signing out materials to patrons.)

4) Patrons will comply with a 6 foot distancing from staff and other patrons.

5) Restroom will NOT be open.

6) Public access computer use will be limited to one person at a time, once per day.

7) Materials browsing will be allowed. However, items removed from shelves that you do not wish to sign out, must be placed in the bins provided. Those items will be “quarantined” for the recommended 72 hours before they are re-shelved.

8) Contactless Book/Movie signout will continue in the Library’s entryway throughtout the summer months for those patrons who don’t yet feel comfortable coming into the Library building.

We realize that this is not what any of us have been accustomed to for our Library use, but at the present time, it is what we feel can be done and still be relatively safe. Hopefully, as the months go on, we will be able to lift these restrictions.

ALSO: We ARE planning to offer a children’s summer reading incentive program from July 20th - August 29th. This program will focus on kids ages 2 - 14, but will look different than it has in past years, primarily due to the COVID-19 threat. Kids will still be able to log in their reading time and earn rewards, but some other aspects of the program may not be the same. Watch this spot in the next week or so for more details on how the program will work!

If you have questions about our Re-Opening plan or about our children’s summer reading program, please contact the Library at or via Facebook Messenger.

Hope to see you soon!
