KENNEBUNK, Maine -- Libraries are still free, and that can be extra important to people in this economy.

There are so many resources these days in libraries that many people do not know about -- from a simple book, to a downloadable one on the internet.

Nancy White and her daughter Kaya get about a dozen books a week free from the Kennebunk Free Library. It's a place White said for years she never gave much though about, but now, cannot go without. She also plans on taking full advantage of some of the lesser known library treasures likes passes providing reduced admission to the Portland Art Museum and Children's Museum.
